Each of my lessons has a learning objective and a progressive learning method is followed.

Adult beginners can set their own broad goals and I design each lesson with customised exercises that progressively work towards achieving them using professional speed learning techniques.

My beginner lessons for children are focused on both reading and playing music. This combination gives them a solid base for learning any instrument and quickly increases advancement in guitar technique. Many guitar tutors miss this musical foundation step which will leave their students at a disadvantage if they wish to progress to more advanced stages or even change instruments later on.

Intermediate

My Intermediate lessons are designed for guitarists who have played for some time, or who are comfortable with the playing the instrument to some degree; playing chords and picking notes either with a pick or finger-style. Classical and Rock/Pop grades are available. It's very common for intermediate players to have reached a point where they struggle to get any better, for all sorts of reasons. We've all been there and it's very frustrating, but it is easy to cure.
